Basic Life Support Instructor Course
Course Description:
The BLS Instructor Course provides a foundation for teaching facilitating Healthcare Providers to become Instructors. This course offers consistent and uniform Instructor training to create more effective.
Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Instructors. A BLS Instructor can teach any American Heart Association BLS Provider Course and BLS Provider Renewal Course as well as the Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid Courses for Non-Medical people.
Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the participant should be able to:

Reveal proficiency in current BLS skills and concepts

Demonstrate proper function and use of BLS teaching equipment

Teach a BLS course using the video instruction and lesson maps

Demonstrate the ability to allow students to practice BLS while watching the video

Demonstrate the ability to evaluate students fairly and provide appropriate remediation if needed

Understand and perform defibrillation and transcutaneous pacing

Use testing materials to conduct skills testing
