Objectives:

Understand the physiologic responses a patient may have leading to the need for pleural chest tube placement

Plan an approach to airway management, including intubation procedure.

Intraosseous needle insertion, Use of the length based resuscitation tape to determine the weight, equipment sizes and drug dose

describe the process of insertion of central lines and removal

Describe how the lungs, mediastinum, and heart are assessed on a plain chest X-ray

Describe indications, contraindications, specific technical aspects of the procedure,

Monitor patients during post-sedation recovery to ensure safe emergence from sedation.
