Program Coordination & Administration Training (PCAT) Workshop.

Course Description:

The PCAT workshop is a comprehensive workshop which is designed to teach the essential skills to fulfill the responsibility of a Course Coordinator in your ITC. The course contains comprehensive presentations, discussions, and hands-on skills stations. A post-test will be used to evaluate your understanding from this workshop. By the end of the day, you will get the PCAT Certificate of Compilation.



Learning Objectives:

After participating in this course, participants will be able to: 

  • Describe how to keep the training network connected

  • Review of educational principles outlined in the Instructor Manual

  • Review of course requirements by the current AHA guidelines

  • Discuss of course format for specific audiences and locations

  • Outline of materials and equipment needed to conduct a course

  • Discuss of administrative, logistical, and educational problems that can arise during a course and how to manage them effectively

  • Discuss the course director’s quality-assurance responsibilities

  • Review of methods and skills for monitoring and mentoring instructors

  • Review all AHA Course Fees, Materials, and Equipment

  • Describe AHA instructor alignment procedure and requirements.
